(ii) For teachers other than those in (i) above, not more

than $200 per month for men and not more than $150 per month

for women.

The salary for each teacher shall be determined by

the school managers subject to the approval of the Director

of Education.

Provided that subject to the approval of the Director

of Education the school managers may elect to treat their

Missionary and Religious teachers as a homogeneous unit

irrespective of nationality or race, in which case the salary

of all such teachers whether European or non-European shall be a flat rate of $300 per month for men and $200 per month for

womon.

§ 12.

The, salaries of non-European teachers who are graduates in Arts or Science of approved Universities and have successfully undertaken a course of professional training in

Education shall be according to the scales approved for

University Trained Masters and University Trained Mistresses

in Government service.

§ 13.

The salaries of Trained Anglo-Chinese Masters and Trained Vernacular Masters shall be on a scale from $900 to $3,600 per annum rising by annual increments of $108.

For the purpose of this section and section 14, "trained" shall mean having successfully completed the teachers' training course at the Hong Kong Evening Institute, or such other coursc of professional training in education as in the opinion of the

Director of Education is at least its cquivalent.

§ 14. The salaries of Trained Anglo-Chinese Mistresses and Trained Vernacular Mistresses shall be on a scale from $720 to $2,160 per annum rising by annual increments of $60.
